Nova Shield

Analyze a Link Before You Trust It

Check DNS, HTTPS, domain age, and redirect behavior with a clear, privacy-conscious report.

Reports store a redacted version of the submitted URL. Sensitive query parameters are masked, reports are unlisted, and checks run without sending the URL to third-party browser-scanning services.

Do not submit password-reset links, private invitations, signed download URLs, or addresses containing access tokens.

Nova Shield helps identify common technical and reputation risks, but no automated scan can guarantee that a destination is safe.

Network safety

Reject private, reserved and unresolved network destinations before any active request.

HTTPS certificate

Validate the certificate hostname, trust chain and remaining lifetime.

Domain age

Read structured registration dates through the authoritative RDAP system.

Redirect chain

Inspect each redirect hop with DNS safety checks and strict limits.

How the Safety Score Works

The score combines explainable technical and reputation signals. DNS resolution and private-network checks prevent unsafe internal requests; HTTPS status, domain age, redirect behavior, quarantine history, and hostname or URL reputation can raise or lower the result. A missing RDAP record means registration data was unavailable, not that a destination is automatically dangerous.

Every redirect hop is resolved and validated separately. Requests use strict protocol, timeout, response-size, and redirect limits to reduce SSRF and resource-exhaustion risk.

Continuous protection

Protection that continues after the first scan

Nova Shield reuses current evidence instead of calling an external provider on every redirect, then refreshes checks when the destination or risk state changes.

01

At creation

The destination is checked before a protected short link is created.

02

After an edit

Changing the destination queues a fresh safety decision before normal use continues.

03

When evidence is stale

Expired results are refreshed automatically while redirects use the latest safe cached decision.

04

When risk changes

Owners receive a clear status change and visitors receive a warning or block when required.

Safe

Redirect normally

Current evidence is cached and reused without delaying every click.

Caution

Warn before continuing

Visitors see the destination and risk context before choosing whether to continue.

Blocked

Stop a dangerous redirect

Critical policy or reputation signals quarantine the link until it is reviewed and rechecked.

Honest boundaries

What this scan does not claim

Nova Shield does not execute a full browser session, submit forms, bypass authentication, or guarantee that page content will remain safe. It reports the technical and reputation evidence available at the time of the check.
